We moved to China in 2011 to teach English in the public school
system in a city you probably have never heard of – Shenzhen – home to more
than 14 million people. Little did we know that we'd still be here 3.5 years
later. Since living in China, we've changed jobs, changed cities, visited ten
new countries, eaten many interesting things, and learned from, complained
about, and even adopted many cultural idiosyncrasies. We’re now professors at a University in a much
smaller city of only about 3 million, but we’re still visiting new places,
discovering new things, and taking you with us on the journey.
Exploring China has been an interesting experience, and we started
a Youtube channel to document our journeys. We began Wandering in China to
document our daily life, journeys, and experiences while living in China.
Since starting this channel, we've realized that we wander away from
China just as much as we wander within. During our recent trip to Nepal,
we spent a lot of time filming and thinking about our channel. During this
time, we decided to change our Youtube channel and begin blogging more extensively
using a new name - The Wanderers.
In the future, you can expect more from us. We’ll keep posting
videos from China, Nepal, and around the world, and we’ll keep trying new
snacks and give you our impressions. We'll
try to keep you updated on what's going on - both on this blog and through our
videos. If you have any requests, comments, or questions for us, feel free to
visit us here, on our Youtube channel, on our Facebook page, or on Twitter.
Thanks for your support. We appreciate you liking our videos and
commenting.
